Alok Kulkarni is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Manas.

Dr. Alok Kulkarni is a distinguished Interventional Psychiatrist from Hubballi, Karnataka, with extensive training from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, an Institute of National Importance [INI].

He was part of India’s first government-funded tele-psychiatry program, and later became a Member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK, after excelling in its rigorous examinations.

In 2022-23, he was awarded the prestigious IMH Marshall Fellowship Award by The University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada, where he gained expertise in cutting-edge clinical trials and treatments for bipolar disorder.

Dr. Kulkarni specializes in non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, including tDCS, rTMS and ECT, and is a recognized voice in national and international media advocating for mental health.

His work has been featured in prominent Indian publications, earning him accolades such as the S S Jayaram and Aryabhata awards.

Currently, he consults at the Manas Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, a premier centre for the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis and substance misuse at Hubli in Karnataka, as the lead Interventional Psychiatrist and CEO.

Vinod Kulkarni is the Founder and Managing Director (MD) at Manas.

He has been the pioneer of mental healthcare in Karnataka. He is one of the senior most psychiatrists in the country today. After pursuing post-graduation in psychiatry from the King Edward Memorial (KEM) hospital at Bombay, he started ‘Manas’ in 1982, with the vision of providing high-quality and affordable mental healthcare.
He has been the former director of DIMHANS Dharwad as also the past president of the Indian Psychiatric Society, Karnataka Chapter, and the Indian Medical Association, Hubli Chapter. He has received the coveted B C Roy award for his enduring work on mental health. Other recognitions include the S S Jayaram award for enhancing public awareness on alcohol use disorder, lifetime achievement award by the Indian Medical Association and the Aryabhata award. He has delivered more than 500 invited lectures across the country on the topic of mental health.
Being prolific in his writing, he has published 10 books in English and Kannada which delve on the various aspects of mental health. He has been a regular columnist, in the past, for Vijayavani and Samyukta Karnataka. Given his expertise on the interface between law and medicine, he is a national level advisor to the Indian Psychiatric Society’s Task Force on Forensic Psychiatry and Law.

Outside of work, he is passionate about singing, yoga, and law.

Aneeta Mutgi is the Lead Consultant Pathologist and In-house Physician at Manas.

She has had a varied and diverse range of training in pathology across two leading institutions, KIMS Hubli and SDM Dharwad. 

She is in-charge of the in-house laboratory at Manas. 

Her clinical and research interest is in clinical hematology. 

At Manas, she is involved in the day to day diagnostic and clinical operations of the laboratory. This involves conducting hormonal studies, biochemical analyses, urine drug screens, and toxicology procedures. Her work also involves the estimation of the serum levels of medications used to treat psychiatric disorders as also routine hematological and microbiological analyses. 

She provides expert input as the in-house physician for patients with co-occuring physical health problems.  

She has several national publications to her credit in leading academic journals.

Outside of work, she enjoys music, badminton and movies.

Aditi Kulkarni is the Lead Consultant Obstetrician and Fertility Physician at Manas.

Following her undergraduation at KIMS Hubli, she specialized in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Kasturba Medical College Mangalore, a premier centre for medical education in the country. 

Her expertise lies in ultrasonographic assessments, complex obstetric care, and management of infertility. 

She holds a fellowship in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasonography from Bombay.
At Manas, her role is in the realm of perinatal mental health wherein the psychiatry team closely liaises with her for the treatment of new mothers having perinatal depression, psychosis and bipolar disorder. 

She also provides expert input for the management of women having co-occuring gynaecological or obstetric problems in addition to mental health problems. 

Outside of work she enjoys singing, knitting and dancing.

Asha Kulkarni is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Manas.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree focused on economics, history and political science. This was followed by a Master of Arts degree specialising in ancient Indian history from Karnataka University Dharwad.

She has been a pivotal force in the creation of brand Manas.

Her unwavering commitment to mental health, deep concern for patient welfare, astute man-management skills, and an unending empathy for the underserved segments, have catapulted Manas to be a force to reckon with in the realm of mental healthcare.

Her singular focus on processes and systems has reaped rich dividends for the institute.
At Manas, her key responsibilities include ownership of cash management, steering the financial operations and providing expert input for strategy and new business development.

Outside of work, she loves to cook, and play with her grandchildren.
